Mick Rowe
“Summertime”  (2004)

The boy is back in town – Christian Music Town that is.  Christian music veteran Mick Rowe returns to CCM with a bang by way of his much anticipated debut solo release “Summertime”.   After much debate, Mick finally decided to release some of his artistic masterpieces under his own name and newly formed indie label “Digital Worship Records”.  “Summertime”, appropriately titled, boasts a string of car jamming tunes you’ll need to take along with you on a nice summer day with the convertible top down.  With a jam packed GMA week and tour schedule, Mick is on the move with this outstanding collection of winning songs that are destined to make an impact in the Christian music industry.  Not forgetting his 80’s roots, Mick brings a bit of nostalgia into a modern rock offering in chart-worthy songs like “Control”, “Please Save Me”, “Clay” and the familiar “Breakfast Club” movie cover, “Don’t You Forget About Me” which is about due for a mainstream re-emergence.   With worship oriented songs like “Illuminate” and “Pray”, the “Summertime” collection is versatile with its listening audience, yet still maintains its rockability factor.  Keep your eyes peeled for this independent artist on the rise.  He’s bound to make headlines in the music industry formerly known as “signed members only”.
