About the Show: The Indie Rock Show is an internationally syndicated rock radio show that airs the "hottest independent artists on the planet that ROCK!"  It's not one radio station. It airs on many stations around the world.  Because of that fact, it's playlist is limited to the time's show length of one hour per week. But because there has been a growth and desire in the radio industry for quality independent music in the modern rock/alternative genres, The Indie Rock Show has expanded to 4 unique segments to give artists like you additional radio exposure:  The Indie Rock Show, Indie Rock Show Xtreme, Top 10 Countdown, and Modern Worship Hour.  The Indie Rock Show airs positive hits with Christian values by faith based artists.  The Indie Rock Show Xtreme is a new segment now airing in 2006 for college and secular radio stations airing the hottest secular & crossover indie artists regardless of faith.  The Top 10 Countdown Show is listener supported by weekly votes - so make sure you send your fans to vote for you or you won't appear on the Top 10 Chart and Countdown Show without them.  The IRS Modern Worship Hour airs modern rock worship music bringing you church like you've never heard it before.
 

HOW TO SUBMIT: 

Here's what we need from you: 

1)  Please fill out the Artist Submission Form on our website - it's pretty self explanatory.  Don't forget we also need you to fill out and send the Permission for Airplay Agreement and send via U.S. Mail...it's all in there!

HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

MUSIC FORMAT:  The Indie Rock Show is "cutting edge" modern rock/alternative- that means that because of the radio format we've chosen to keep the show in, we can not play anything that spans too far away from "MODERN ROCK" music.  Most of the playlist is considered Modern Rock/Alternative and within that format are a few styles that will fit - they include punk, emo, rap core, modern metal, ska-rock, and occasionally a hard CHR/rock feel song -which is really pushing it.  But those that are closest to Modern Rock/Alternative and are what will be played in majority.   If your single doesn't fit in that format somewhere, it doesn't fit what The Indie Rock Show is all about.  Out-dated styles of music such as 60's, 70's,80's not done in a new modern rock fashion, Acoustic, CCM/AC gospel, rap, hip hop, or pop are not what we're looking for.  This is not about giving every indie on the planet a shot in the sun - but promoting the HOTTEST INDIE ROCK out there that compares with signed bands and those who reside in the secular market.  Also, we can spot a fake.  Genuine rockers are what we're looking for, not artists who have one rock mix of a song or don't relate to our audience by living it hard core.  If you compare your music at all to Michael Bolton, Foreigner, Journey, Fleetwood Mac, or anything from that era....you're in the wrong place, sorry buddy.  The mullet is not cool now.
 

MUSIC SUBMISSION STANDARDS: 

Production quality - you MUST have acceptable levels of production to get your song aired on the show.  This is not the garage band showcase.  Songs that are still in their "demo stage" will probably not be acceptable.  We're looking for music standards comparable to anything out there on the hottest ROCK STATIONS so Listen to your local modern rock station and watch Mtv for the hottest sounds in modern rock music today.  This show reaches the younger generation under 30 for the most part.  The Indie Rock Show wants to rock your face off.  We prefer true genuine ROCK artists, not those trying to score a rock chart hit with a rock remix of your song.  It still won't make you a rocker if it's not who you are.  Sorry, did we step on anybody's toes?  We do that a lot, so just get over yourself.

Radio Ready - your song must be "radio ready" - meaning, current in style, catchy hook - ear grabbing song, great production (can still be acquired on an indie budget) mixed for radio release (please, no two minute guitar solo intros or interludes)  well written, and should be somewhere in the ballpark of 3-4 minutes in length - anything much longer than that will require a radio edit.  The Indie Rock Show approves submission at it's own discretion. 

SONG CONTENT:  The Indie Rock Show (our regular program segment) airs positive hits by faith based artists with chart appeal (hold the cheese and preaching please) and for the Indie Rock Show Xtreme, the hottest of the hottest indies in the secular market or with crossover appeal - the IRSX is completely mainstream/secular in nature, not Christian.  Anything goes as long as there is no profanity, vulgarity, violent or offensive material. No songs with swearing in them will be aired due to radio station guidelines of some of the stations that air the show.   Music with more of an upfront worship message will be aired on the Modern Worship Hour for the most part.

Current Single:  The Indie Rock Show wants to air the most current single you have at all times.  So make sure you keep us supplied with new singles about every 3-4 months to keep yours current on the Top 10 Chart.  Generally, 14 weeks is the max to work a single to radio.  After that it becomes lower in rotation to make room for new music.
